  1. DEFINITIONS

In these Terms, we use various defined terms. This is what they mean:

  1. “Account” means your account with Wasla Market.

  2. “Terms” means these Terms and Conditions, including any amendments or updates made by Wasla Market.

  3. “Content” means all text, images, videos, listings, reviews, messages, data, and media on the Platform, whether submitted by Users or by Wasla Market.

  4. “Personal Data” means any information that identifies or could be used to identify a person, such as name, phone number, email, image, or government ID.

  5. “Buyer” means a user who is browsing the Platform, searching for any product or service on the Platform, and/or who contacts another user with the intention to purchase any product or service offered by them.

  6. “Seller” means a user who uploads any User Content on the Platform with the intention of selling or offering any product or service to other users.

  7. “Transaction” means a transaction between a Seller and a Buyer which resulted from a listing made by a Seller on the Platform.

  8. “User Content” means any listings, posts, ads, business information, messages, reviews, files, photos, videos, or any content submitted or displayed on the Platform.

  9. “Wasla Market Products” means any and all services and features offered by Wasla Market whether free or paid, through the Platform or other official channels.

  10. “Platform” means any Wasla Market website, mobile app, or digital service owned or operated by us.

  11. “Services” means the Platform and all functionalities provided therein.

  12. “Other Platforms” means any third-party websites or tools not operated by Wasla Market.

  13. “Register” means creating an Account on the Platform.

  14. “User” or “you” means any natural or legal person accessing or using the Platform.

 

     2. REGISTRATION AND YOUR ACCOUNT

2.1 You may browse the Platform without registering; however, access to certain features and Wasla Market Products may require registration. Registration is free. Wasla Market reserves the right to require identity verification, phone number validation, or additional documents at any time and may suspend or delete accounts that fail to comply.

2.2 Each user is allowed only one account. Duplicate accounts may be removed. If violations occur under any account, we may take action against all associated accounts.

2.3 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. We are not responsible for unauthorized use.

2.4 We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or applicable Syrian law.

2.5 You agree to receive administrative and promotional communications from us. You may opt out where such a feature is available.

2.6 We may audit your account activity to investigate potential violations or resolve issues.

2.7 Any dispute or complaint must be reported to us within 48 hours of discovery.

2.8 You must be at least 18 years old, or of legal age in your jurisdiction, to register or use the Platform. If underage, you may only use the Platform with supervision and consent of a legal guardian.

2.9 Each natural person or legal entity may only hold one Account, unless expressly approved by Wasla Market.

2.10 Wasla Market is not responsible for any unauthorized access to your Account caused by your actions, negligence, or failure to secure login information.

  1. PURCHASES

3.1 All purchases of paid features or promoted listings are final. Wasla Market does not issue refunds except where required by Syrian law.

3.2 Users are responsible for ensuring that any payments they make through third-party services (e.g., e-wallets, credit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay) are processed successfully and securely. Wasla Market is not responsible for any delay, loss, or error caused by these third-party systems.

3.3 Wasla Market does not facilitate or hold money on behalf of users. Any financial transactions are handled directly between users or through third-party payment providers.

3.4 Prepaid credits or promotional balances, if applicable, must be used within the validity period stated at the time of purchase. Unused balances may expire and be forfeited.

3.5 Wasla Market may suspend or withhold features if payment is delayed, fraudulent, or disputed.

3.6 Prices for Wasla Market Products are subject to change at any time. Continued use of paid features after a price update constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

3.7 We may temporarily or permanently suspend any account during legal or regulatory investigations, with or without notice.

3.8 Purchasing promotions or featured listings does not guarantee any specific visibility, response rate, or sale.

3.9 Users must review payment receipts for accuracy. Billing issues must be reported within 7 days of the transaction.

3.10 Wasla Market may block or ban accounts involved in fraudulent, stolen, or disputed payment activity.

  1. USER CONTENT AND LICENSE

4.1 By submitting User Content, you grant Wasla Market a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display and otherwise exploit such User Content in any format and media now known or developed in the future, for any purpose including but not limited to marketing, product development, research, or legal compliance.

4.2 You also grant Wasla Market the right to use your name, image, voice, likeness, and any personal data included in your User Content in connection with its use, without compensation. You waive any moral rights you may have in your User Content to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law.

4.3 You confirm that you own or have all necessary rights and permissions to submit the User Content, and that it does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law.

4.4 Wasla Market reserves the right to remove, restrict, or refuse to publish any User Content at its sole discretion, without notice.

4.5 You agree that you will not receive any compensation for the use of your User Content, even if it is used for commercial purposes.

  1. RESTRICTIONS

5.1 You understand and acknowledge that you may not do any of the following via the Platform (unless expressly permitted by Wasla Market):

  1. Create multiple accounts or transfer/sell accounts;

  2. Impersonate others or provide false account information;

  3. Post duplicate, repetitive, or misleading content;

  4. Post content in unrelated or inaccurate categories;

  5. Use automated bots or tools to scrape, harvest, or manipulate listings;

  6. Promote pre-payment without delivery guarantees;

  7. Contact users without consent or for unsolicited promotions;

  8. Use the Platform for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes;

  9. Attempt to bypass platform security or reverse engineer our systems;

  10. Cause disruptions to the platform infrastructure or abuse bandwidth;

  11. Harass, stalk, or threaten users;

  12. Share or collect personal data without consent;

  13. Use the Platform to violate local Syrian laws or community standards.

  14. Misuse internal messaging features to spam, scam, or harass other users.

5.2 The following types of content are strictly prohibited and will be removed without notice:

  1. Anything illegal under Syrian law;

  2. Misleading or fraudulent content or pricing;

  3. Impersonation or identity theft;

  4. Defamatory, racist, violent, or offensive content;

  5. Pornography, prostitution, or sexually explicit material;

  6. Unlicensed pharmaceuticals, narcotics, or controlled substances;

  7. Counterfeit, stolen, or smuggled goods;

  8. Firearms, explosives, or military/police equipment without proper authorization;

  9. Endangered wildlife or banned animal products;

  10. Human remains, blood, or body parts;

  11. Gambling, pyramid schemes, or fake investment opportunities;

  12. Listings offering fake documents, passports, or personal IDs;

  13. Software for hacking or illegal surveillance;

  14. Listings promoting political violence or incitement;

  15. Items that violate intellectual property laws without authorization.

5.3 Wasla Market reserves the right to:

Access to the Platform is a conditional privilege granted by Wasla Market, and may be revoked at any time without liability.

5.4 Country-specific clauses and restrictions from other jurisdictions (such as UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Oman) are not applicable and have been removed. Wasla Market follows the laws and standards of the Syrian Arab Republic.

 

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

6.1 All content, trademarks, logos, and other intellectual property on the Platform are owned by or licensed to Wasla Market. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

6.2 Users retain ownership of their User Content but grant Wasla Market the rights outlined in Section 4.

6.3 You agree not to reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works based on the Platform content without prior written consent from Wasla Market.

6.4 Wasla Market may use feedback or suggestions submitted by users without any obligation or compensation.

6.5 All intellectual property rights not expressly granted are reserved by Wasla Market.

  1. ADVERTISEMENTS AND EXTERNAL LINKS

7.1 The Platform may contain third-party advertisements and links to external websites or apps.

7.2 Wasla Market does not control or endorse these external sites and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability.

7.3 Your interactions with third-party advertisers or linked services are solely between you and those parties. Wasla Market is not liable for any issues arising from such interactions.

7.4 Wasla Market does not vet, verify, or endorse any advertisers, products, or services linked through the Platform. Users interact with such content at their own risk.

7.5 Wasla Market is not a party to, and does not monitor or enforce, any contract or transaction entered into between users and third-party advertisers.

  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

8.1 Wasla Market provides the Platform on an "as-is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, listing visibility, or successful transactions.

8.2 We are not liable for any losses including fraud, errors, delays, or disputes arising between users.

8.3 Our role is strictly to provide a digital space for users to interact.

8.6 You agree that you shall not, at any time or under any circumstance, initiate or join any legal action or claim against Wasla Market or any affiliated party. This waiver applies regardless of the nature of the issue, and includes any form of lawsuit, arbitration, or administrative complaint.

9.1 You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Wasla Market, its owners, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, service providers, legal advisors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  1. NOTICES

10.1 Notices to Wasla Market must be delivered via email to: support@waslamarket.com. Notices will be considered delivered upon confirmed email receipt. Wasla Market may update its contact information at any time by publishing the new details on the Platform.

10.2 Notices from Wasla Market to you may be issued via the Platform, SMS, phone calls, social media, in-app messages, or the email address linked to your account. You agree that we may use any of these methods for both administrative and marketing communications.

  1. UNSOLICITED SUBMISSIONS

11.1 Wasla Market does not accept or consider any unsolicited ideas, proposals, creative materials, suggestions, or content submissions (“Unsolicited Submissions”). Any such materials sent to us will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary, regardless of any markings or statements to the contrary.

11.2 You agree that Wasla Market shall have the unrestricted and irrevocable right to use, reproduce, publish, modify, or distribute any Unsolicited Submission in any manner, without compensation or obligation to you.

  1. GENERAL

12.1 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Wasla Market and supersede any prior oral or written agreements.

12.2 Wasla Market may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after modifications indicates acceptance.

12.3 Users may not assign or transfer rights under these Terms without prior consent. Wasla Market may assign its rights freely.

12.4 You agree that you shall not bring any lawsuit, legal proceeding, or claim of any kind against Wasla Market, its owners, directors, employees, agents, contractors, partners, suppliers, or affiliates at any time, for any reason. This includes all individual claims, group claims, class actions, and any claims in tort, contract, equity, or otherwise.

12.5 Upon termination of an account, Wasla Market may retain user data as required by Syrian law or for legitimate business and legal purposes.

12.6 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Syrian Arab Republic. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Syrian courts.

12.7 If any provision of these Terms is found invalid under Syrian law, the rest shall remain enforceable.

12.8 No third party has any rights under these Terms.

12.9 Failure by Wasla Market to enforce any part of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver.

12.10 These Terms override any conflicting verbal or written communications from support agents or staff.

12.11 Any ambiguity in these Terms shall not be construed against Wasla Market as the drafting party.
